In dictionary,
repetition means the act of repeating or so called as repeated action.
Repetition can be used on all of the Visual Elements.
If things are repeated without any change they can quickly get boring.
However, repetition with variation can be both interesting and comfortably familiar.
Repetition gives motion.

I would prefer time based. The next paragraph will explained it why i prefer time based.
Time based has audio visual (AV) which refers to works included with sound and visual component, the production or use of works, or to equipment used to create and present works.

The greatest difference between B&W and colour photography,
is the difference in contrast.
B&W show greater contrast between light and shadow.
Colour only shows clarity in light and definition.
I would prefer B&W photography because B&W is more "artsy" because of this,
because you are forced to look at both as there is lack of distraction from colour,
so you gaze into both the light and dark side of the image.
