thank God i had done my presentation for today.
There's few ways of doing a presentation actually which are
- slides full with information
- slides with minimum content plus some images
these two they have good and bad. I used the second method which is slides with minimum words and some images included. I began to realise that each every slide project out, after within a few seconds they saw on the slide they begun waiting and looking at me what I going to talk and present next.
Compared to the other one which is slides full with information, I realised that audience begin to concentrate reading the slide and just ignore what the presenter talk. After for some times the audience starting begin bored because they had finished reading and know what the presenter going to talk.
What I think that it is important that we should make audience amazed and feel excited to know what's the next surprise. Steve Jobs had done a great work for his presentation. Everyone is amazed during his previous presentation. Of course practicing and rehearse are quite important. Error will be found. Feedback and comment from friends will make your presentation greater.
Based on the previous practice and discussion that i did in the class, i had gain lots of knowledge and I found it useful.
The first practice is "What People Think of Me", Based from the practice, i had learned to understand more about myself and also my classmate as well which will enhanced our friendships . In the result, we mix and chat together more often. We also become more helpful to help each other when we had questions for our assignments.
The benefits of friendship which includes
- increase your sense of belonging and purpose
- reduce stress
- boost happiness
- improve self-worth
As for second task,3 years plan and business plan, i have gained clearer vision and aim for my ideal job and my future business. Starting a business is not easy and you have to think further few time more and few perspective/aspect where planing become very important.
Advantages
- helping to clarify own vision and deciding whether or not to forget ahead with idea
- identifies needs and wants of consumers
- determines demand for product
- aids in design of products that fulfill consumers needs
- outlines measures for generating the cash for daily operation, to repay debts and to turn a profit
- identifies competitors and analyzes your product's or firm's competitive advantage
- identifies new product areas
- identifies new and/or potential customers
- allows for test to see if strategies are giving the desired results
- convincing investors and lenders to fund own business.
Disadvantages
- leads to faulty marketing decisions based on improperly analyzed data
- creates unrealistic financial projections if information is interpreted incorrectly
Lastly, i think that a designer should learn the ability to write and speak
effectively, even to spell correctly, is essential. Most of the designer's
client base is the business world, and the successful designer is
one who is prepared to communicate with this market. Designing is
only a small part of the process. Planning, listening, writing,
estimating, scheduling and supervising are all part of a designer's
role.
Imagine that within 2 to 3 years time if i manage to get a fairly big job in which big enough to require myself to take on an employee.
- Hardworking- It is the right of an employer to expect high from employee and it is employee's will to be productive and help the company to grow. Hardworking employee often gets reward of being promoted for a higher position.
- Punctual- An employee should be at work on time. Never make being late a habit, nowadays, companies are tough against late comers and became one of the factors why they fire employees.
- Be smart at all time- An employee should be smart to make an outstanding difference among the rest. Always be and look smart. The head officers might ask for opinion on certain things, employee should be ready and prepared to give bright or appropriate ideas.
- Meet your deadlines- If you are assigned to work on a certain project or activities, make it good and submitted it before or on time. When at work, always prioritize your job before anything else.
- Cooperate- An employee should cooperate on the activities provided by the company. Do not alienate yourself among co-workers, have fun, enjoy being with them for they may help you when you are experiencing work problems.
- Time Management- Expect multiple of work loads when you start working, this is how time management pops on the picture. Of course, each tasks provided to you has deadlines, manage your time to each task for you to finish them all. Employers often give multiple tasks to tests how good you are on handling pressure and time.
- Trustworthy- An employee should always be trusted and loyal to the company. The moment you signed contract to the company, you should abide the rules that all files and documents and what you’ve seen and heard within the company premise should remain confidential.
- Teamwork- If you are assigned to be part of a team to work on a certain project, never hesitate to lend your ideas and suggestions. Make your team work. Never be a burden to your team, by not cooperating and lazy.
- Inspire others- By being industrious and possess the qualities mentioned above, you can inspire your co-workers to work hard. Be humble and help your co-workers when they seek for your assistance.
